Established in 1985 as the airfreight division of Emirates, Emirates SkyCargo is the largest international cargo airline in the world! We are looking for supply chain and logistics professionals ready to support Emirates SkyCargo as our organisation continuously increases it's cargo capacity and develops specialised products to meet the growing needs of customers.
As a Cargo Handling Supervisor, you will plan, Supervise and monitor day to day operational, flight planning and optimization, service compliance objectives and targets for Cargo, Courier and Mail, in the assigned sections of Hub Operations, Cargo Terminals and Ramp. Accountable for the planning manpower of the section, supervision of staff, work assignment and distribution, tracking the work progress until completion within specified time norms, handing over incomplete work of 24x7 shifts, in order to achieve highest possible level of service compliance, maximum space utilization and on time performance of flights, conforming to handling ,operational, safety and security standards. Accountable for maintaining an oversight and supervision of the RFS network control tower on a 24 x 7 basis for smooth running of the same. Responsible for invoice verification and daily/weekly reporting of the spend
In this role, you will;
- 24/7 monitoring of RFS Control Tower being the first level escalation point of contact with outstations, internal and external stakeholders for Daily tracking and execution job orders with diligent surveillance on unusual activities to maintain strict SOP in revenue related affairs.
- Attend and resolve queries raised by Capcon, Caprice and other stakeholders in the network and Identify exceptions and escalate to respective business managers and ensure smooth operation of the shift and ensure every RFS movement is followed up and recorded in the shift.
- Assist as mediator between Trucking cos. and stations regarding any issues needing urgent attention and resolve discrepancies with different operations of Skycargo ? Tracing team, SkyChain support and Warehouse Acceptance team ? in resolving discrepancies. Work closely with RFS Controller to assist in truck rate data capture in STAR as per conditions of the Contract.
- Invoice Processing: review and ensure invoices are validated accurately and that services were consumed and certified for payment as per contractual conditions. Further, manage supplier payment queries, disputes, exceptions, resolutions and identify continuous improvement opportunities to streamline billing and payment process.
- Financial accounting & reporting: prepare monthly and year end accruals for all service providers and submit to Accounts Payables and apply penalties, wherever applicable and prepare monthly trends/segments reports to identify variance against forecast. Undertake periodic re-forecasts if required.
- Create load plans for all flights based on trim and balance or aircraft for maximum utilisation of space within specified time norms without compromising on operational safety standards.
- Give direction to Shift Duty staff for any problems anticipated or faced in order to ensure load plan executed most efficiently.
- Issue claim tracers, conduct surveys and compile discrepancy reports for all claims to minimise Company's liabilities.

Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements;
- 3+ years experience in Logistics / Cargo / Air Cargo.
- 10 years of schooling or equivalent
- In depth knowledge of Cargo Operations Procedures, Cargo Acceptance Procedures, Dangerous Goods, Live Animals, ULDs and stock control procedure (Cat-8).
- Ability to demonstrable high level of knowledge and competence in Good Distribution Practice (GDP) acquired through experience and training.
- Ability to collate and analyse various relevant tonnage, revenues and yield and market information data from different sources.
- Ability to work independently based on guidelines provided and guides the Senior Cargo Handling Assistant as applicable.
- Good knowledge in the application of Air Cargo rating rules and regulates Cargo load and planning.
- UAE Driving license (preferable) .
- Advance cargo courses.
- Experience in preparation of dashboard will be an advantage.
