Job Purpose

The Compliance Monitoring - Flight Operations section ensures Emirates Flight Ops meets all technical standards through a rigorous Audit programme. You will provide independent assessments of the entire Flight Operations department. 

The department proactively establishes and implements audits programs to monitor all technical aspects, identifying potential issues and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Our focus is on maintaining effective domination and implementation of quality management systems to uphold corporate commitment to regulations, safety policies, and quality standards. 


As a Compliance Monitoring Manager in Flight Ops, you will be responsible for facilitating the Flight Training Facilities (FTF) compliance monitoring function and audit programme in accordance with established guidelines, processes and procedures defined in the applicable Flight Training Facilities Quality Manual (flight and emergency evacuation simulators) and in compliance with relevant UAE GCAA and EASA requirements.




Key Responsibilities:

    Manage the audit programme within the FTF compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory and departmental standards.

    Check compliance against existing processes and procedures, as well as the operation and fitness for purpose of synthetic training devices.

    Analyse and identify audit resources required to meet short- and long-term demands, ensuring qualification currency is maintained.

    Plan, conduct, and report on random and scheduled audits and quality control activities for EK flight simulators and SEP Emergency Evacuation Simulators (EES) in line with approved compliance procedures and audit techniques.

    Liaise and communicate outcomes with stakeholders (FTF Management, Engineers, and external parties where applicable), recommending remedial actions and following up on corrective actions to confirm fitness for purpose.

    Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of evidence-based audit findings to stakeholders and manage all audit record stages in Q-Pulse to closure.

    Continuously test the Q-Pulse system for upgrade requirements and report findings to the Line Manager.

    Analyse audit data daily and assist in producing FTF Quality Audit monthly reports with statistics and metrics; identify adverse trends and recommend corrective actions.

    Support review of simulator technical delay reports and AOGs for technical quality, entering data into a quality database for trend analysis and producing periodic recommendations to improve compliance.

    Conduct periodic review of established processes and procedures within the FTF quality function, recommending improvements to meet or exceed requirements.

    Assist in the development and documentation of process definition models per FTF Compliance System policy.

    Follow up on internal stakeholder feedback regarding the quality function, taking action or making recommendations as required.

    Support the development and delivery of a focused Quality System training programme for new and existing FTF staff to increase awareness of quality culture and policies.

    Manage the administration of the platform maintaining simulator device qualification data (QTG), ensuring integrity and defining usage guidelines.

    Assist with system checks to review regulations pertaining to simulator activities, including snag clearance, flight tests, and visual evaluations; recommend non-compliance actions against regulations and FSTDO requirements.




Qualification

    Degree or Honours or equivalent

    8+ years Flight Operations experience

    Experience in Flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD) environment, preferably with experience in a Compliance Monitoring or regulatory environment

    Experience in an Engineering FSTD or technical discipline/field

    In-depth knowledge of GCAA/EASA training aviation regulations and their application/interpretation to Flight Simulators

    Proven ability to assimilate technical and procedural regulatory requirements

    Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and technical report writing ability

    Professional track record within a simulator operator environment as an engineer or technical specialist, with good knowledge of process and procedure generation and change control
