Description & Requirements
As a Crew Planning Officer in the Service Delivery team you will be responsible for planning and delivering all aspects of the Cabin Crew Leave and support Service Delivery and Network Operations in workforce resource planning by providing insights on crew utilisation on non-flying activities, crew availability and leave balances. The job holder Has to achieve the highest level of productivity and resource optimisation, without compromising on quality of the rosters. This requires in-depth understanding of the leave planning process, its impact on the airline?s operation, careful analysis and ongoing management of a wide range of internal stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Provide training and support to the team and ensure that team and individual performance is at the required standard of the job.
- Manage all aspects of Cabin Crew leave planning, assignment, and daily management to agreed business standards and timelines.
- Analyse, understand and champion the use of data driven decisions and actions for all aspects of workforce planning within Cabin Crew Management.
- Act as a focal point of contact for all leave queries from cabin crew and internal stakeholders and act as subject matter expert to key stakeholders e.g. the Crew Connect team to foster a thorough understanding of the system and the leave management processes by providing training and support.
- Manage leave through Leave Award Scheduling System (LASS) and dashboards by liaising with IT and Enterprise Analytics to enhance the system.
- Organise and deliver training sessions for cabin crew management and crew that is compliant to the department's requirements.
- Investigate, act and respond to queries from crew, Cabin Crew Management and other stakeholders like Network Operations HR and other business area and be the key point of contact.
- Provide and analyse reports and insights on request from teams in Service Delivery and other stakeholders related to workforce and roster assignments.
- Support the development of leave assignment by engaging with Service Delivery management to facilitate reduction of leave liability.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Hold a Vocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent).
- Have 5+ years of experience within In-Flight Service or In-flight Administration.
- Have experience within an operational environment, preferably airline operations.
- In depth knowledge of regulatory rules requirements and Flight Time Limitation is essential.
- Experience with Leave Award Scheduling System (LASS), Time Exception Report System (TER) Paradise, would be preferable.
