The role of E-Commerce Ancillary Specialist is to drive growth in ancillary revenue, particularly through direct sales channels, by supporting the wider ancillary team in developing innovative product strategies, optimising merchandising practices, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining regulatory compliance across Emirates global markets.
In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain performance reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for a range of ancillary products, providing actionable insights and analytical support to the broader ancillary team.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of ancillary product information across all customer touch points, maintaining alignment with current offerings and brand standards.
- Conduct regular competitive benchmarking of ancillary offerings within the travel and retail sectors to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Advocate for and uphold key policies and processes to ensure ancillary offerings consistently deliver customer value and contribute to increased retention and brand loyalty.
- Analyse customer feedback related to ancillary product sales to inform ongoing improvements to product policies and processes, with the goal of enhancing customer experience and minimising complaints.
- Evaluate audit findings related to under-collection on ancillary documents by identifying root causes and collaborating cross-functionally to mitigate revenue leakages.
- Lead and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for ancillary product enhancements on direct channels to ensure deliverables meet the defined requirements and business objectives.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- A completed Degree or Honors (12+3 or equivalent).
- 5+ years Commercial or Sales (or similar) experience.
- Experience in Commercial/Sales within travel industry.
- Advanced knowledge of ancillary products, services, and systems is preferable.
- A systematic and logical approach to problem solving and a capacity to work around problems. Ability to adapt and respond quickly to a fast changing environment.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
