Equipment Operator - Heavy Vehicle CAT4 - D2245

As an Equipment Operator - Heavy Vehicle you will operate standard motorised and diverse technical equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order to undertake manual and technical activities to support dnata Airport Operations and Customers requirements. This includes but not limited to loading and unloading baggage and cargo to and from Systems, ULD, trucks, carts and aircraft or movement of standard motorised and diverse technical equipment (including PBT) for positioning, maintenance and repair.

In this role you will:

• Adheres to all safety, quality, and environmental policies while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Openly discusses safety concerns and promptly reports issues or defects to supervisors.
• Follows departmental policies, standard operating procedures, and job-specific operational guidelines consistently.
• Operates and inspects assigned GSE according to training qualifications and operating manuals to ensure serviceability and suitability.
• Assists with sorting, loading, and unloading baggage and cargo (bulk or unitized) to and from aircraft, ULDs, trucks, carts, and systems.
• Safely marshals vehicles and equipment near aircraft, and arranges dollies, trolleys, and ULDs to support operational demands.
• Retrieves, transfers, loads, and offloads cargo and dead load according to aircraft load plans to ensure smooth aircraft turnaround.
• Escorts passengers requiring ambulance services, prioritizes equipment servicing, reports defects, removes faulty equipment, and ensures serviced equipment is returned to operation.

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

• High School (Minimum of 10 years of schooling required)
• 0 - 2 years of experience in Ground Support Equipment and on-job training
• UAE Heavy Driving license 
• Basic Communication Skills
• Basic Safety Awareness, Human Factors (HFT), Dangerous Goods Training (DGT)
