Join us as a Finance Manager – Direct Operating Costs (DOC) and play a key role in driving financial strategy and decision-making for a global business. The successful candidate will support the FP&A function by providing strategic business partnering and data analysis on all major Direct Operating Cost (DOC) categories to influence stakeholders. Through a detailed understanding of DOC spend and contract visibility, you will provide analysis and advice on cost-saving measures and optimisation across categories, identifying anomalies, outliers, and potential areas of focus.
In this role, you will:
- Support annual budgets, full-year forecasts, and mid- to long-term plans and targets with the business and procurement teams, driving the delivery of DOC cost targets.
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner, providing support and challenge to help manage the value within your assigned business area.
- Provide advice and consultancy in the development and validation of business cases to support investments in new ventures, capital expenditure, and large long-term commercial agreements.
- Ensure business performance is monitored on a periodic basis through relevant reports, KPIs, and meetings (e.g., MFRs/MBRs), including the identification and delegation of actions across the business to improve future performance.
- Ensure an appropriate financial control environment exists to protect shareholder interests and that Corporate Governance Manuals are followed across all entities.
- Lead the development of finance teams - regardless of reporting lines - within the defined business portfolio, ensuring a high-performing finance function.
- Drive monthly FP&A reporting, annual budgeting, full-year forecasts, and mid- to long-term planning, including modelling and target setting.
- Develop and maintain financial models that provide monthly rolling P&L and cash flow forecasts for dnata (consolidated and individual businesses).
- Reconcile forecasts vs. actuals, and engage with the business to optimise performance and improve forecast accuracy.
Qualification
In order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Finance, Insurance/Finance, or Finance Management.
8 years’ experience with a degree, plus relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MBA or Qualified Accountant).
Relevant experience in Finance, Commercial, or Analytical roles, including a minimum of 3 years in an FP&A function with a proven history of delivering real value-add FP&A support to a business in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Demonstrable experience in providing FP&A support through a period of significant business change.
The ability to work with a range of stakeholders, providing solid advice and building strong partnerships.
The ability to identify the right data and translate it into powerful stories using Power BI.
High proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data tables, graph production), as well as Power BI and MS PowerPoint.
