Job Purpose

 

 


 

 


The Internal Communications Specialist will support Internal Communications IC and the IC Manager with implementation of the internal communications strategy and priorities. To drive and deliver robust high quality consistent and timely communications support for employee and brand engagement across channels campaigns communities crises events and leadership communications across the Emirates Group. This is a 12 month temporary contract.

In this role you will:

  • Implement the IC strategy and priorities across the Emirates Group with a view to boost employee and brand engagement and embed standards corporate culture and values through storytelling. 
  • Be the IC representative and support for designated divisions and business units craft communications plans based on briefs.
  • Offer expert consultation and support employee communication through IC channels. 
  • Create content aligned to the IC strategy across designated communication channels. 
  • Facilitate channel transformation against preassigned KPIs and ensure key stakeholders are properly engaged in management and maintenance.
  • Build, grow and maintain online and offline employee communities through effective engaging content aligned to the Corporate Communications Marketing Brand departments standards. 
  • Act as a brand ambassador to encourage employee and stakeholder engagement across the relevant channels interface with champions and train leaders and business units to use channels effectively for strategic and everyday communication. 
  • Drive formal employee feedback mechanisms with the help of Market Research. 
  • Provide guidance and support in interpreting employee feedback and leverage data and analytics from across internal channels to ensure continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure that all projects within the responsibilities outlined are implemented based on set KPIs and metrics to ensure delivery within scope time quality and cost. 
  • Provide consistent reporting on designated channels including effectiveness of campaigns community engagement events and regular communications. 
  • Balance the use of agencies and the inhouse brand and creative services teams without compromising on timelines and the high standards expected within the Group Coordinate with various inhouse and external suppliers to produce and distribute internal communications. 
  • Play a key role in the organisations crisis communications planning and response with a view to keeping all internal stakeholders informed mitigate employee concerns and protect the organisations reputation.
  • Keep abreast of new trends in IC and best practices within the communications industry. 
  • Develop a good understanding of not only the designated areas of the business but also of the evolving needs of businesses across the Group to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained.


Qualification

To be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours 12+3 or equivalent in mass communication, journalism or HR. 
  • 5 years of experience in internal employee communications or a public relations role with experience in planning and managing internal communication activities with a multinational company or agency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present proposals professionally and to deal effectively with all stakeholders management staff and suppliers. 
  • Develop thorough expertise in all areas of IC such as brand engagement campaigns channel or change management to ensure the highest service and advice is provided
