Description & Requirements

Job Purpose

dnata is more than a global air and travel services provider. We connect people with possibilities and opportunities across 130+ airports in 34 countries through ground handling, cargo, travel, and catering & retail services. Our purpose is clear: to deliver on the promises our customers make. We are powered by a bold vision to be the world’s most admired air and travel services provider, which guides our strategy, culture, and every role across our teams. Our core values fuel everything we do: we are safe, we play to win, we respect everyone and work together as a team, and we are future thinking. At dnata, we foster diversity, nurture ambition, and celebrate achievement. If you're inspired by purpose and motivated to be part of a global team shaping the future of aviation and travel, we’d love to have you onboard.

As a Logistics Manager, you will safely and efficiently plan and manage all turnaround logistics activities, including the transportation of baggage and cargo to and from aircraft, tail-to-tail transfers, and the movement of equipment across the ramp and maintenance areas. You will ensure seamless collection and delivery of arrival, transit, and departure baggage, as well as inbound and outbound cargo, while aligning processes and systems with the long-term fleet strategy to meet future demand and operational growth.

In  this role, you will

  • Plan and maintain dnata and outsourced resource requirements (people and equipment) to support turnaround operations and OTP, while maximising asset availability, utilisation, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure on-time deployment of resources to deliver logistics activities to agreed time, quality, and cost standards.
  • Coordinate with senior managers to develop and deliver the long-term fleet and logistics strategy, driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Recommend new equipment purchases aligned with departmental strategy and future operational demand.
  • Support the annual budget and CAPEX planning process, including fleet induction, exit, and lifecycle management, in collaboration with Technical Services and Business Support.
  • Identify current and future vehicle and driver requirements to meet short- and long-term operational plans.
  • Lead a strong safety culture by role modelling safe behaviours, ensuring PPE compliance, developing staff capability, and proactively identifying and challenging risks.
  • Maintain accountability for day-to-day logistics operations, delivering arrival, transfer, and departure baggage and inbound/outbound cargo within SLAs and budget.
  • Deliver the centralised logistics model, pooling drivers and vehicles to support Airside Operations and realise savings through optimised task allocation, process efficiency, and improved fleet and inventory management.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define logistics requirements, processes, and SLAs, with robust performance measurement and targeted recovery plans where risks or underperformance are identified.
  • Lead continuous improvement through regular reviews of travel times, task durations, and driver and vehicle utilisation, identifying trends and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate vehicle movements to and from maintenance without operational impact, working closely with Manager Airside Support and Technical Services.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services to maintain a safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet, improving operational efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.

This is a Safety Sensitive Role.
