Description & Requirements

Job Purpose

Our Maintenance Programmes and Configuration department oversees three key areas:

  • Fleet Maintenance Programmes: Defines and manages aircraft maintenance schedules, integrating manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and efficient maintenance forecasting.

  • Fleet Modification Programmes: Coordinates aircraft modifications, including spare provisioning, schedule management, and communication with manufacturers for updated technical publications.

  • Fleet Configuration Management: Maintains accurate configuration records of aircraft and components, ensuring traceability and supporting supply chain, reliability, and lease returns.



The Maintenance Programmes & Configuration Engineer - III will be responsible for the development, delivery and optimisation of the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) to ensure compliance to all regulatory standards and develop a configuration management programme for aircraft, engine & components. This will include the modification set up process, component control and inventory data management for all incoming engines and components, which must be fully compliant with all airworthiness regulations and EK policies.


  • Manage and continuously develop the modification initial set up process for Airbus, Boeing, Engines and Components ensuring timely and effective implementation in Ultramain (UM) of all Airworthiness Directive (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) applicable to the Emirates fleet.

  • Responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Aircraft and Supplemental Maintenance Program (AMP/SMP) to ensure that maintenance is optimised to enable the programme to be executed efficiently.

  • Act as a relationship manager for delegated Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM?s), Airbus, Boeing and engine manufacturers to ensure that all Emirates related issues are communicated and where appropriate, incorporated within the revision cycle of the Maintenance Planning Data (MPD) document and Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR).

  • Accountable for the accuracy tracking and tracing of components and maintenance requirements of the fleet is managed in compliance with the standards outlined in the Configuration Management policy.

  • Investigate and resolve issues escalated by internal and external customers regarding maintenance programs, compliance and modification management for aircraft, engine and component maintenance. Develop corrective actions for the Maintenance Programmes and Configuration team and propose improvement recommendations for internal and external customers.

  • Monitor and control the departments Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to ensure that the departments' performances is at a high level and continuous improvement programs are in place to improve performance, efficiency and support the delivery of the department strategy.


Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Aeronautical subjects / Mechanical / Avionics / Electronic / Technical Engineering or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence.

  • 5+ Years Experience in Engineering Maintenance Planning and Programmes / Aircraft Maintenance and / or technical services with supervisory / managerial experience.

  • Good knowledge of the aircraft maintenance industry and related computer systems.

  • High level of presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
