Job Purpose

Emirates Skywards seeks to be an inspiring and engaging global loyalty programme for Emirates and FlyDubai. There are a number of key roles within our Skywards Group that are essential to the success of this this programme. From product design, e-commerce and analytics, through to business development, strategic partnerships and member engagement our Skywards team is filled with exciting opportunities! 


The Manager Portfolio Management & Business Planning will work with Senior leadership to develop the overall business and IT planning process for Skywards. Lead the annual planning of the department's strategy and priorities through partnership and close collaboration with other departments. Design the framework and standards for execution and implementation of all projects within skywards. Develop approaches on strategic portfolio management, business planning and necessary communication plan to enhance performance and ensure more productive and practical approach for conducting business. Establish and manage Project Management, and its capability development across Skywards. Manage the programme office and facilitate delivery of complex projects using cross business project teams.  


In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Skywards business delivery managers to determine quarterly demand and coordinate the project increment prioritisation and planning. Identify recommend and drive these projects upon completion.
  • Collaborate with different business functions to collate Skywards demand ensure finance endorsement and standard financial framework and templates support securing of budgets. 
  • Conduct periodic exercises with executive management to develop and update plans for the business. 
  • Focus on business value which a focus in quantifying project benefits using Set the framework and standards for execution and implementation of all projects within Skywards.
  • Ensure projects are tracked and documented to enable knowledge
  • Provide visibility to the Skywards Leadership team and managers at a portfolio level on project progression and any risks
  • Develop a framework in close collaboration with Operational Research & Effectiveness (OR&E) linking strategic priorities to departmental performance, ensuring a link back to KPI's
  • Implement a Project Quality assurance, governance, monitoring & risk management framework including generating reports and visual representation.
  • Lead prioritisation, cross-functional bridging and provide visibility of Skywards initiatives to relevant internal support functions through strong stakeholder management and communication
  • Lead and drive Skywards Stakeholder Communication forums and tools to engage the Skywards internal team and maintain ongoing dialogue across the Emirates group. 
  • Advocate and lead employee engagement activities and KPIs
  • Lead change management process to foster a collaborative network for efficient ways of working
  • Manage, coach, develop and motivate team members, ensuring they understand their objectives and the necessary skills to execute their role effectively


Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Commerce, Business Management, Marketing or related discipline
  • Hold over 10 years experience in Commercial/Sales.

Knowledge/skills:

  • Experience in delivering complex/cross functional portfolio project management.
  • Self motivated, proactive and highly organised with the ability to prioritise objectively.
  • Certificated qualifications in Programme Management and PMO (PMP, Scrum Alliance, Six Sigma etc)
  • Certification in Change Management and Agile Project management preferred
  • Working knowledge of Portfolio Management & Reporting tools
