Manager Network Optimisation and Charters

Description & Requirements

Job Purpose

The role of the Manager Network Operations and Charters is to lead and manage a regional Network Optimisation and Charters team, operating across both the Strategic Planning department and the Network Control Centre (NCC), with a focus on generating unbudgeted incremental revenue and profitability for the company.

They will develop and implement a commercially viable charter business plan, overseeing the end-to-end process from securing clients to the successful execution of charter flights.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage profitable charter opportunities across Emirates' wide-body fleet and A319 corporate jet, targeting high-value clients. Oversee scheduling and operations to ensure efficiency, service excellence, and client retention.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Network Optimisation team, ensuring alignment with commercial and operational goals. • Lead short-term capacity planning to optimise fleet utilisation, pricing, and capacity allocation. Drive revenue through ad-hoc flights, performance monitoring, and cost analysis to minimise losses and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Liaise with Dubai Airports Joint Control Room, global airport slot coordinators, and Civil Aviation Authorities to secure, adjust, or release slots for delayed, recovery, extra, and charter flights. Ensure timely slot release to maintain regulatory compliance and uphold the integrity of historical scheduling records.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures, contingency plans, and recovery frameworks to ensure effective, timely responses during disruptions. Collaborate with Engineering, Flight Operations, Crew Planning, Airport Services, Service Delivery, and other departments to resolve operational constraints, align aircraft availability with commercial goals, and lead schedule recovery to maintain hub integrity and minimise impact.
  • Oversee critical systems such as Emirates Network Capacity Optimisation Management (ENCOM) and Future Corporate Schedule Repository (FCSR), ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and enhancements to support senior management decisions. Collaborate with global vendors to align schedules publication, automate distribution, resolve discrepancies, and optimise cost-effective, accurate dissemination of Emirates schedules across all platforms.
