At Emirates Group we connect the world through our global hub in Dubai ensuring our customers always Fly Better As one of the most recognised and admired brands globally were driven by innovation and excellence Our Human Resources teams play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation by driving people strategies that empower our global workforce A s National Development Manager Emiratisation you will design implement and manage activities to support the career development of UAE Nationals throughout the organisation in collaboration with the People Experience Emiratisation team and HR Centres of Excellence You will integrate department manpower needs with the placement of appropriate UAE Nationals and provide through effective development initiatives a foundation level of core skills for UAE Nationals to enable them to perform effectively in their first permanent role beyond their development programme In this role you will Work closely with the People Experience Emiratisation team and the wider National Development teams to feed insights based on the identified UAE Nationals trends development requirements and emerging matters with an aim to revisit relevant strategies that addresses those challenges resulting from the various National Development engagement initiatives Proactively plan and execute regular engagement initiatives leveraging different engagement tools for UAE National employees and Trainees Act as a focal point of contact to champion for UAE National challengeswelfare ie calendar of events clinics surveys and adhoc sessions aligned with the overall UAE Nationals engagement strategy Regularly review the effectiveness of the used tools and share insights with both Employee Experience and Emiratisation teams to make meaningful adjustments to enhance the overall engagement and support strategy Build and manage close relationships with all senior line and HR Business Partners Work with line managers and HR to measure and evaluate UAE National trainees contribution to the business and ensure all trainees have the required support to obtain sign off from trainee programme Conduct training needs analysis of UAE Nationals in grades 8 and above to determine development needs and appropriate strategies to ensure that UAE Nationals are equipped to perform in their existing job and are well prepared for future roles Establish monitor and maintain a network of line manager mentors that will provide on job assistance and coaching to UAE Nationals within the line area Oversee and ensure National Development Specialists produce a learning plan for each new joiner and that they are transferred to permanent roles upon completing their learning plans Develop and manage UAE National succession plans to enable appropriate placements and rotations and provide guidelines to meet deployment needs Manage and develop members of the ND team conducting performance reviews producing development plans etc





Qualification

To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements Bachelors degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant role Knowledge of the UAEEmirates Emiratisation agenda The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior line management Human Resources experience with specialism in talent management career counselling or similar preferably in a GCC environment or International company where the company workforce is a combination of Expat and local employees Youll have an edge if you have Experience designing and delivering people initiatives in an organisation or working as part of a team that have done so examples would include mentoring programmes coaching and counselling programmes or succession planning processes Demonstrated history of delivering a successful HR change programme using highly developed influencing skills
