Job Purpose

As an Operations Officer, within the dnata Corporate Travel team, you will be required to efficiently plan, organise monitor and control the operations of the business unit within your authority and thereby ensure achievement of the objectives and directives of the Company. In this role, you must also regularly engage with key clients / stakeholders / internal partners to ensure agreed services are delivered and the standards set in any relevant service agreements are maintained.


In this role, you will;

  • Contribute to the establishment of operational policies and procedures, ensuring strict implementation of these to maintain high quality services standards.

  • Monitor and report on revenues, yield and employee productivity, recommending any changes to activities, services or processes to drive efficiency and achievement of targets ie revenues, profitability, client satisfaction and retention etc.

  • Liaise with clients, travel co-ordinators and other relevant stakeholders to audit service levels, effecting operational changes where necessary to optimise client satisfaction. This may include regular planned visits to clients.

  • Create a positive, productive working environment and ensure data required for the production of accurate and insightful management information reports.

  • Cascade policy decisions to the front line, ensuring understanding and adherence.

  • Monitor and ensure maximum exposure of entire range of the business products to clients, using all means available to maximise sales and revenue

  • Liaise with stakeholders as required to ensure data required for management information reports are accurate and timely;

  • Prepare and submit reports as required, stating reasons for variance on unit / client performance, with recommendations for efficiencies, including optimisation of revenue and yield.




Qualification

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the below requirements;

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Educated to A level standard or equivalent, degree in Commerce, Statistics or Economics would be an advantage.
  • 5+ years experience in an operational role, ideally in the travel and tourism industry, at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Well versed in the usage of travel related systems
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Proven analytical skills along with solid knowledge of the UAE / GCC travel markets, airline / hotels practices and available travel products will be an added advantage
  • MS office or equivalent skills and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct statistical surveys and service audits, analyse results and present recommendations for improvement.
