To ensure the functions within the Engineering Operations Planning, Asset LifeCycle Management, Aircraft Scheduling, Reliability & Data Integrity & Standards Group (DISG) are organised, communicated, developed and implemented, to ensure the Emirates fleet is maintained to the required standards as defined by the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual, in order to achieve continuous airworthiness and cost effectiveness of the aircraft during its life cycle.

To ensure the functions within the Engineering Operations Planning, Asset LifeCycle Management, Aircraft Scheduling, Reliability & Data Integrity & Standards Group (DISG) are organised, communicated, developed and implemented, to ensure the Emirates fleet is maintained to the required standards as defined by the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual, in order to achieve continuous airworthiness and cost effectiveness of the aircraft during its life cycle.

• GENERIC
  -Ensure leadership of change programmes by engaging in projects and project teams designed to create and implement positive change and proactive change culture.
  -Administer the day-to-day operation of the unit, and constantly review systems, documents and procedures to ensure efficient running of allocated activities, consistent workload distribution and implementation of necessary improvements.
  -Organise and chair various meetings ensuring active, positive participation of planning in all meetings. Ensuring that the section is well represented and to escalate any issues that will affect and delay the implementation of the modifications of any relevatnt programme
  -Manage and organize team resources to ensure efficient operation and optimum utilization of manpower and equipment; providing leadership, guidance, training, and development to staff in order to meet continued fleet growth requirements, system enhancements, improved working efficiency and increased productivity and performance standards.
  
  SPECIFIC
  Operational Planning:
  -Ensure the compliance of all maintenance tasks within the scope of the respective three planning horizons Line, Base Operations and Base Heavy. Ensuring that the work stream managed by them delivers aircraft maintenance work packages that are compiled and issued in a timely manner considering cost effectiveness, optimum utilisation of aircraft ground time and no disruption to operation.
  -Manage the objective of maintenance cost reduction through effective concept implementation of work package optimization and capacity planning.
  -Compile a workload plan along with the projected weekly and service checks after assessing the available workload resources for the day/night shift, indicating the mandatory and non ?mandatory tasks. All deferred defects (DD), Maintenance Changed request (MCR) and Engineering Advisory Instruction (EAI) to be assessed, prioritized and resourced as appropriate for completion.
  -Take decisions on behalf of Manager Opertational Planning or deferrals of maintenance tasks or apply for appropriate Variations before next flight.
  -Manage multiple implementation modification and stagger program plans across the diverse types of the Emirates fleet
  -Liaise with various engineering sections, departments within Emirates, Aircraft manufacturers, vendors, other operators and third party maintenance agencies with regards to technical/ documentation enquiries, modifications accomplishment, third party/ subcontracted work ensure the overall success of the projects.
  
  SPECIFIC
  Reliability:
  -Manage existing calculation methods and formulas that are used for producing reliability figures and or DISG reviews and ensure that they are in line with approved procedures as set forth in engineering procedures manual.
  -Review technical dispatch reliability of the fleet and associated defects to detect premature failures and degrading trends. Evaluate and develop Extended Twin Engine Operating Procedures (ETOPS) critical parameters including in-flight shutdown rate and operational reliability data. On monthly basis manage the technical data compilation on delays, Pilot reports (PIREPS), aircraft incidents and establish statistics, trend monitoring and alerts. Based on findings, propose and implement ways in collaboration with the concerned departments to avoid recurrence and to improve performance/reliability for all fleet types.
  -Identify components (rotable and repairable) that require condition monitoring, establish synergy with Configuration Management and Fleet Technical, establish Air Transport Association system to locate and record removal and installation, prepare timely summary on Mean Time between Unscheduled Removals (MTBUR) achieved in comparison to vendors. Liaise with Fleet Technical for investigation on components that have deteriorated ine performance. Compile the Reliability Committee Meeting 

Qualifications & Experience:

Knowledge/skills:

Bachelor?s Degree Engineering in Aeronautical subjects Mechanical/ Avionics/ Electronic/ Technical Engineering or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer?s Licence.

Experience is required in Aircraft Maintenance Planning or a related field, with at least 8 years demonstrable experience in Asset LifeCyle Management, Aircraft Scheduling/Maintenance Planning/Reliability or Modifications Engineer with at least 4 years of experience in Emirates fleet type/aircraft systems.

A MRO or Airline background is preferred and would be an advantage.

-Fully conversant with aircraft systems, power plant and components.

-Thorough knowledge of related Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering functions, aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentations.

-Knowledge of M&E systems is an advantage.
