As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer – dnata, you will join the Quality Engineering team, where quality is fundamental to the reliability of our enterprise platforms. You will play a critical role in assuring the quality, stability, and integrity of large‑scale Cloud ERP solutions that support core financial and operational processes across the Emirates Group.

 

We employ a broad range of testing tools and methodologies, leveraging industry‑standard automation frameworks and programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python, alongside modern Cloud and DevSecOps tooling. Quality is embedded end‑to‑end through CI/CD pipelines, automation‑first strategies, and continuous improvement practices to ensure resilient, secure, and compliant Cloud ERP platforms.


 In this role, you will:

  • Lead quality engineering design and build for quality engineering solutions across teams within a release train. Carry out effective technical design reviews to ensure that the right architecture patterns are used to support modern quality engineering practices.
  • Plan and lead a risk-based approach for end-to-end testing across all stages of development within release trains, ensuring inclusion and alignment with the business.
  • Create, evaluate and implement quality engineering standards and improvements. Ensure they are being consistently implemented within release trains.
  • Collaborate with the leadership and team members to identify and eliminate non-value adding work, with the aim of driving efficiency and productivity across teams and release trains.
  • Champion automation, lean software development, test driven development, agile practices, timely root cause analysis and blameless incident post-mortems to drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop/Identify framework, tools and practices to improve delivery quality of technology solutions and productivity of quality engineers.
  • Foster a climate of continuous improvement amongst the team members based on scaled agile software development principles. Act as a trusted advisor for the quality engineers and guide the team to work autonomously in a multi-disciplinary feature teams.
  • Lead, coach and mentor quality engineers within a release train, providing leadership and continuous feedback whilst facilitating professional development across all areas of quality engineering.
  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place to support reporting at portfolio and enterprise level to demonstrate OKR progress.


Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

 

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience designing and building scalable quality engineering solutions aligned to Agile Release Train objectives.
  • Strong experience conducting technical design reviews and enforcing architecture standards that support modern quality engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute riskbased testing strategies across the full development lifecycle.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards consistently across multiple agile teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills with crossfunctional teams to embed quality engineering seamlessly into delivery processes.
  • Proven track record of driving automation across all testing layers to minimise manual intervention and reduce human error.
  • Experience leading root cause analysis and promoting blameless postmortems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capability to develop quality engineers in both technical expertise and agile methodologies.
