In this role, you will:
- Facilitate all the activities relating to the manpower and equipment budgets in the various departments of the business area and overseas Joint Venture Companies, during the annual budget process.
- Conceptualize, develop, and empower line managers on resource deployment rules keeping in view business plans, strategy & specific service level agreements with customer airlines. Transform/model these rules in the resource management system.
- Formulate and apply mathematical modelling & statistical analysis and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret What-if scenarios. Recommend the impact on resources and Keep Performance Indicators (KPI) in line with business operating strategy to the business units. Challenge where required to optimise the resource plans for increased efficiencies.
- Evaluate resource requirement/business cases prepared by Dept for additional /replacement resources keeping in view the yearly budget Plan, KPIs and other parameters. Recommend the optimum resource requirement to obtain Presidential approvals for the business.
- Influence and interact with process owners and department heads for effective implementation of redesigned rules and processes.
- Train and develop line management personnel on tools and techniques used by resource planning team, with specific reference to planning and allocation of resource to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Act as SME for Resource management system and associated tools to enable maximum usage in developing various Planning scenarios.
- Manages adhoc Manpower and Ground Support Equipment plans to facilitate infrastructure development/changes undertaken by Dubai airport from time to time like Runway resurfacing, Passenger Terminal Building operation or movement of airlines between terminals.
- Plan, lead, organise, and facilitate project teams to improve engagement standards for all business units across the business in conjunction with other functions in Business Support .
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:
6–8 years’ experience in resource planning, manpower planning, scheduling, or workforce optimisation, within complex operational environments
Strong hands-on experience across resource management and scheduling, including BPR, Method Study, Work Measurement, and Operations Research
Proven ability to apply statistical, analytical, and optimisation techniques to support operational and strategic decision-making
Experience delivering system user training, ideally within resource management or planning systems (e.g. INFORM or similar)
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated capability in systematic documentation of project reports, systems, and processes
Advanced MS Office and Excel skills
Working knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
A degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline is preferred
Candidates without a degree will be considered where they demonstrate additional relevant experience in resource planning and workforce optimisation
