As a Security Coordinator you will need to provide a support service to operation related issues in order to ensure compliance and consistency with security policies, the Airline Security Program (ASP) and Security Management System (SEMS). Collate record, analyse and assist in investigating, alerting and reporting all irregularities that may result in the non-conformity of the organizations Security Policy.


In this role you will:

  • Support the security operations with regards to statistics, logistics, roster patterns and administration etc.
  • Conduct effective performance reviews, implementation of training/development initiatives and consistent application of company policy.
  • Maintain documents, manuals and records for auditing purposes, ensuring they are kept up to date.
    Contribute in the review of standard operating procedures, contracts and other relevant documents that have an impact on operations.

Airport/Document Check:

  • Access information on inadmissible passengers and decide necessary action, keeping relevant departments informed which include coordination of flights, accommodation, deportation reports, liaising with the relevant authorities etc.
  • Perform travel documents check on assigned flights and conduct behavioural analysis of all passengers to prevent acts of illegal immigration and unlawful interference.
  • Liaise with the relevant Authorities (e.g. immigration, embassies and the police) throughout the network to prevent the carriage of inadmissible passengers.
  • Support in the training of staff of Emirates and Ground Handling Agents to increase awareness of detecting and intercepting illegal immigration.

Cargo and Aircraft Protection Unit (CAPU):

  • Investigate cases of cargo discrepancies related to the cargo handling processes in the hub.
  • Conduct random and routine audit checks of processes involved in cargo handling at both landside and airside operations to heighten the barriers against unlawful interference.
  • Collate information and produce reports for management with the aim of protecting the safety and security of the passengers, aircraft personnel, cargo and assets of the Company.
  • Oversee the operations handling of EK lost and found items, detect areas of improvement and suggest any changes to processes.

Security Planning:

  • Co-ordinate security assessments of facilities and businesses for the Group.
  • Contribute to the development of security plans including the ground protection plan.
  • Coordinate the installation, commissioning and maintenance of security systems equipment and technology deployed at the Group's facilities.
  • Coordinate surveillance and monitoring work in relation to CCTV cameras, access control etc.

Facilities and Accommodation:

  • Support the controller in the daily management of security requirements e.g. extra requirements in relation to parking, VIP visitors etc.
  • Review all reported incidents received on a daily basis and make decisions on action required e.g. fights in accommodation/lost items etc.
  • Follow up with the outsourced transguard supervisors and patrol guards in buildings on all matters related to security operations, procedural updates, SOP updates, staff knowledge and recommended training.
  • Operations
    Support the line with requests for processing approvals and authority for VVIP passengers, commercially important people (CIP), internationally protected people, deportees, transportation of firearms and inadmissible passengers, ensuring the movement of these passengers is monitored through liaison with the relevant stakeholders e.g. immigration, police etc.
  • Disseminate information through appropriate means outlined in the Emirates Airline Security Program as stipulated by the relevant aviation security regulatory bodies (International Civil Aviation Organisation, United National Organization, IATA, GCAA, TSA etc.) to other departments and Outstations within the Emirates Group. Keep the outstations updated on new guidelines in the security program.

Fraud Prevention/Investigation:

  • Record fraud alerts and incidents on tickets and credit cards and accurately file the respective information.
  • Prepare and maintain the ticket and credit card fraud database in order to ensure correct storage and retrieval of passenger data. Prepare fraud alerts for network stations so that the security officer can disseminate in a timely manner to prevent fraud.
  • Access the reservations/check in system in the Group database for the purpose of the investigation of facts as well as other data systems required to monitor the usage of fraudulent tickets.
  • Coordinate investigation work and assist in the process of evidence gathering for cases involving staff of the Emirates Group.
  • Independently undertake the less complex investigations and provide a report with recommendations.

Quality Assurance and Administration:

  • Analyse and review quality issues including under performance, non-conformities, third party audits and findings within group security, investigate the root cause and recommend an appropriate course of action to the quality assurance and admin superintendent.
  • Undertake audits and provide recommendations to the security superintendent for approval and follow up on corrective action.
  • Provide admin and technical support to the team, raise e-workflow requests. Follow up, accept and verify procurements, purchases for the HQ and Operations and liaise with the relevant departments on any requirements for the department i.e. I.T., HR, procurement, suppliers.
  • Record, collate, analyse and report data that will support the administration activities, customer complaints and compliments.


Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Experience in aviation, supervision and root cause analysis would be advantageous.
  • Ability to write reports in a comprehensive manner and computer literate is a must.
  • Fraud Prevention/Investigation
  • Experience in investigation would be advantageous
  • Operations - Experience in risk assessment would be advantageous
