As a Senior Purser - Compliance & Standards, you will be responsible for assessing the performance, standards and procedures through on-board management of the Cabin Crew. You will provide the Purser and the entire Cabin Crew on the assigned flight clear direction, feedback, evaluation, recognition and development in relation to performance standards.

You will recommend key performance areas, improvements and changes in relation to the Purser, Cabin Supervisors and Crew's performance observed on the flight to the Cabin Crew Performance Management Team.


In this role you will:

  • Ensure that the Purser effectively manages the entire crew to create an environment where they are attentive and responsive to the customer needs on every flight by effective, engaging, customer centric pre-flight briefings and on time departures.
  • Assess the entire cabin crew interaction with each other, quality of leadership onboard, performance of supervisors, and overall flight assessment.
  • Work closely with the Cabin Crew Management Team and report instances where the assessments of leadership is found unsatisfactory and suggest solutions.
  • Provide timely and co-ordinated feedback on service standards or products affecting the customer experience to the relevant departments via the KIS system.
  • Address shortfalls/development and areas of concerns during flight and coaching to optimise performance of the Purser.
  • Identify Pursers with exceptional leadership skills and strong operational experience onboard and highlight this to the Cabin Crew Management Team to ensure that they are recognized as role models.
  • Identify common shortfalls in Pursers, Cabin Supervisors and crews knowledge and skills through working with the Cabin Crew Performance Management Team . Undertake reviews following solutions delivered to ensure that areas of shortfall have been adequately addressed on board.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the area of cost control and/or revenue generation. Thoroughly research opportunities and make appropriate recommendations for change.


Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Completed 12 years of schooling or equivalent
  • Completed 5 years of time in the Purser role
  • A demonstrated track record of excellence in customer service
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English

  • Bring experience operating across all cabins and grades
  • Can communicate in one or more additional languages
