As a Senior Speciality Service Doctor for Ambulatory Care you will provide the highest standard of evidence based medical care for Company staff and their dependents, within the quality and accreditation standards to meet General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulatory requirements, whilst remaining within strict budgetary controls. You will support the VP of Medical services and work collaboratively with other Senior Managers within the department to deliver optimal healthcare services within budgetary controls, initiating strategies for continuous improvements, particularly in relation to service quality, standards of care and patient satisfaction. In addition, you will recruit, lead, manage and mentor a team of Doctors to deliver high quality care for staff and dependents.


In this role, you will: 

  • Develop and refine the overall strategy for specified function across the Emirates Group in line with business needs. Develop and lead world class programs for specific function/clinic across Emirates Group.
  • Develop and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. Prepare communications to stakeholders as and when required and respond to stakeholder enquiries. Providing guidance to ensure timescales and requirements are met.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of department guidelines with continuous review for regulatory compliance, value and ease of use.
  • Lead, manage and mentor a team of doctors to deliver high quality assured, value driven, evidence based health care for company staff and their dependants.
  • Maintain all licenses required to meet the regulatory requirements of the DHA and GCAA to provide clinical services as appropriate.
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to assigned clinic and be point of escalation for external or internal concerns raised.
  • Provide clinical services to EK staff and dependants within credentialled scope of practice.


Qualification

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in MBChB, MBBS, MD or the equivalent medical degree from an accredited university medical school.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in clinical practice. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a specialist or consultant in family medicine or emergency medicine with . 
  • Postgraduate training and qualifications allowing licensing by the Dubai Health Authority as a Specialist or Consultant and acceptable to the Emirates Clinic Privileging Committee.
  • Current medical registration with a recognised medical board or council along with qualifications and minimum experience acceptable to the DHA for registration and licensing.


You'll have an edge if you have: 

  • A fellowship or membership to one of the Royal Colleges or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a clinical team.
  • Experience in service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement, including the development or implementation of clinical policies, guidelines, or systems.
