Join our Airport Services team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless airport operations and delivering world-class service to our customers. The team is responsible for a wide range of critical functions, both “above and below the wing,” to keep our busy airport running efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

As a Stand Planning & Allocation Officer, you will prepare a stand plan for all flights for the next 24 hours, delivering the same to the necessary stakeholders from the airport community to allow planning of their own resources and equipment. Deliver aircraft allocation (for aircraft arrivals or repositioning) that optimises the use of all available contact and remote stands on real time basis, maximising opportunity for operational efficiency of ground handling.

In this role, you will;

• Accountable to ensure that the daily flight schedule has been uploaded into the stand planning system along with aircraft registrations so that all data is available to begin each six hour stand planning process.
• Plans all Emirates passenger flights to appropriate parking stands in the stand planning system., taking into account all rules and preferences for the airline so that commercial considerations are optimized and the Emirates operation benefits from minimum inter- concourse transfers of passengers and baggage.
• Makes key operational decisions alongside the Dubai Airport Governance team to establish a daily working practice that benefits both Emirates and the Airport community. Highlights areas of conflict in the system for arbitration by the Dubai Airport Company and negotiates solutions alongside the Dubai Airports Senior Stand Planner that minimize any effect on the Emirates passenger operation.
• Prior to each six hour operational window liaises with Network Control Center on priority flights and operational issues so that optimal use of stands is maintained for critical arrivals and departures to include, but not limited to, VVIP movements, curfews or performance limitations.
• Plans and publishes the daily towing schedule for each six hour operational window in the stand planning system so that maximum use of Emirates dedicated contact stands is maintained and the shared parking stands are optimized for the benefit of Dubai International Airport.
• Produces a daily operational log so that handover can be given to the next Stand Planning Officer ensuring that ongoing issues are resolved and concerns for future shifts are highlighted.
• Maintains a continuous and accurate system allocation of all Emirates passenger flights at Dubai International Airport, taking into account all commercial and safety requirements to maintain the continues flow of the emirates fleet through their dedicated and shared parking stands.
• Liaises directly with Dubai Airports Airside Operations department to advice of any aircraft parking issues that could have an impact on airfield parking capacity.
• Maintains consistent communication with Hub Control Center to establish updates on critical departures and potential stand conflicts for arriving flights. Has a plan of action in place to mitigate any issues and takes responsibility to make the decision of re-allocating as appropriate.
• Inputs and ensures that all aircraft changes are updated in the stand planning system to maintain operational accuracy and re-allocates flights to stands based on these changes. Liaises with EK Stand Planning Officer to ensure the continuity of the next operational window is maintained.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below;

• 5+ years of experience in Airport Operations.
• 12 Years schooling or equivalent
• Knowledge of Airport systems such as DMIS, CORE, MACS and ZEUS.
