Job Purpose

Emirates Flight Training is a modern, progressive department that utilises Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) methodology in all our courses and is one of the few full Evidence Based Training (EBT) operators worldwide. Through continuous professional development and standardisation, you can expect to be trained and developed in the most up to date training methodologies to ensure you meet the exacting standards required by Emirates.


Responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the knowledge and skills of trainers. Responsible for conducting required proficiency checks, licensing tests and instructor Assessments of Competence validations (AOC) as required by the regulator and in line with company policies and procedures (As applicable to GCAA certificate privileges).


Job Accountabilities

  • Conduct Flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD) type rating training, recurrent training, recency training and ground school in line with company procedures and requirements.
  • Conduct Line Flying Under Supervision training (LIFUS)/initial operating experience (IOE) and line checks in accordance with the approved syllabus. 
  • Deliver Evidence-Based Training (EBT) modules and conduct command evaluations as mandated by the company. 
  • Administer proficiency tests, licensing verifications, and AOC assessments for instructors in accordance with GCAA requirements. 
  • Provide initial, recurrent, and remedial training for instructors and examiners. 
  • Complete and submit accurate detailed reports and assessments of pilots and instructors under training in accordance with company guidance and policy via the existing electronic reporting system. 
  • Recommend additional or remedial training for trainee pilots who are not progressing at an acceptable rate as per expected performance standards. 
  • Provide recommendations to training management for any changes that may improve efficiency, safety, quality of training and standardize procedures and teaching techniques. 
  • Assist in the pilot recruitment process when needed. 
  • Support ad hoc projects, course development, and other tasks as required.


Qualification

Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Valid ATPL
  • Valid TRE certificate for applicable type.


Experience 

  • Have minimum 3 years of experience as an active Examiner in an EK training position.


Knowledge/skills:

  •  Previous instructional/examiner experience essential 
  •  Advanced communication and leadership skills as per the OMD competency framework.
