Job Purpose

As a Team Leader you will  manage all airside activities related to the assigned areas on shift, ensuring dnata provides the best services to the customer airlines in line with its standards and procedures.


In this role, you will:


  • Plans and allocates resources (staff and equipment) to ensure on-time operations in compliance with SOPs and SLAs.
  • Leads and supervises operational teams during shifts, ensuring tasks related to arriving and departing flights are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Promotes and enforces safety standards by conducting safety briefings, role modeling safe behaviors, and taking immediate corrective action when risks arise.
  • Provides shift coordination and communication, including team briefings, task delegation, performance feedback, and reporting to supervisors.
  • Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment, reporting defects, coordinating repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Oversees baggage operations, including reconciliation, build-up, monitoring belt systems, handling missing/unidentified/left-behind baggage, and coordinating ULD requirements.
  • Monitors aircraft appearance services, including cabin cleaning, exterior washing, cargo compartment cleaning, and obtaining airline/cabin crew service acceptance.
  • Supports airside equipment operations, optimizing manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and ensuring operators follow updated SOPs and work instructions.
  • Coordinates across departments (Service Delivery, Customer Service, Aircraft Loading, etc.) to maintain service excellence and on-time performance.
  • Supervises customer service operations, including flight creation in systems, check-in and boarding oversight, ensuring compliance with airline requirements, and resolving discrepancies promptly.


Qualification

To be consider for this role, you will have to meet the below requirements:

  • High School with a Certificate OR Diploma in a business administration / aviation / ground handling / customer service
  • Diploma Holder: 2-4 years of experience in business administration / aviation / ground handling / customer service
  • Mandatory and Regulatory courses in line with dnata Learning Path. (Line Manager to mention the details while advertising for the role)
  • Basic understanding of the flight operations terminology.
  • Proficient understanding of Local / International, aviation safety and security requirements.
  • Proficient IT and Computer Literacy
  • Good communication Skills
  • Must hold ADP or UAE driving license ( For Aircraft Appearance only )
