As Terminal Services Manager, you will manage, develop and control the activities at all UAE Cargo Terminals through a team of Controllers while promoting new processes, products, standardisation and governance to become a leading service provider for the customers in the region, in line with the cargo strategic growth plans.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and recommend Terminal budgets to include manpower, expenditure and facilities and monitors financials performance versus the budget.
- Develop and maintain the highest standard of customer service to clients that use the Terminals across U.A.E by ensuring efficient delivery of all products in compliance with any regulatory requirement.
- Maintain product and process governance and customer service standards in order to meet industry requirements in line with dnata's objectives.
- Plan and structures client meetings and discussion sessions with key stakeholders (clients, government agencies) to ensure effective coordination and understanding of regulations to achieve the cargo Terminal objectives across U.A.E.
- Suggest amendments and re-engineering for existing processes and products in line with emerging industry trends and the customers’ requirements to increase the volume of the business from the Terminal and expanding the operations.
- Prepare plans and implement contingency strategies to face any changes in the industry that would impact the service delivery.
- Ensure safety of staff and that they possess the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely by providing support and acting as role model for the desired safe behaviours.
- Manage effective achievement of departmental objectives by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisals in order to maximise performance.
- Develop and lead Terminal Controllers to have a clear understanding on processes, products, employee training needs, systems requirements to ensure a streamlined process and uniform handling across all terminals and in complacence with DCOM, IATA and Domestic Trade regulations.
- Promote Facilities enhancements ensuring safety and security and operational risk are clearly reviewed and mitigated to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement and control Cargo policies and procedures to ensure procedural/legislative requirements are streamlined across all terminals through effective engagement and change management programmes in coordination with Service Delivery Manager and their Operational teams.
Qualification
To be successful in this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Commerce along with Certification in Ground handling.
- 8-10 years of experience in ground handling / cargo operations / International Integrator including 4 years in a supervisory leading team role.
- Sound knowledge in all areas of Cargo Operations as well as exposure to area of Airport operations such as Logistics and Turnaround.
- Sound understanding of Supply Chain logistics, 2PLP, 3PLP, E-commerce, warehousing.
- Proficient knowledge in IATA regulations, DCOM, airline policies and procedures
