Job Purpose

Emirates Flight Training is a modern, progressive department that utilises Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) methodology in all our courses and is one of the few full Evidence Based Training (EBT) operators worldwide. Through continuous professional development and standardisation, you can expect to be trained and developed in the most up to date training methodologies to ensure you meet the exacting standards required by Emirates.


Responsible for conducting required proficiency checks, licensing tests and instructor Assessments of competence validations (AOC) and EBT recurrent training programmes as required by the regulator and in line with company policies and procedures.


  • Responsible for conducting required proficiency checks licensing tests and instructor.
  • Assessments of Competence validations AOC and EBT recurrent training programmes as required by the regulator and in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Flight Simulator Training Device FSTD type rating training recurrent training recency training and ground school in line with company procedures and requirements. 
  • Conduct Line Flying Under Supervision training LIFUS, initial operating experience IOE and line checks in accordance with the approved syllabus. 
  • Conduct Evidence Based Training EBT modules and command evaluations as required by the company. 
  • Conduct proficiency tests licensing checks and Assessments of Competence as required by the GCAA. 
  • Complete and submit accurate detailed reports and assessments of pilots under training in accordance with company guidance and policy through the existing electronic reporting system. 
  • Recommend additional or remedial training for trainee pilots who are not progressing at an acceptable rate as per expected performance standards.
  • Provide recommendations to training management for any changes that may improve efficiency safety quality of training and standardize procedures and teaching techniques. 
  • Participate in the pilot recruitment process if required support with ad hoc office duties projects course development and other tasks as required.


Qualification

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid type rating and ATPL issued by the UAE GCAA.
  • Valid Type Rating Instructor rating for applicable type.

Experience:

  • Have completed 1500 hours of flight time as a pilot of multi-pilot aeroplanes, of which at least 500
  • hours as PIC.
  • Min 12 months of experience as a Type Rating Instructor/Synthetic Flight Instructor.

Knowledge/skills:

  • Previous instructional/examiner experience preferred.
  • Advanced communication and leadership skills.
