Emirates Flight Training is a modern, progressive department that utilises Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) methodology in all our courses and is one of the few full Evidence Based Training (EBT) operators worldwide. Responsible for conducting flight training, FSTD training (Flight Simulator Training Device) and ground school training as required by the regulator and in line with company policies and procedures.

• Conduct FSTD type rating training, recurrent training, and ground school in line with company procedures and requirements.
• Conduct Line Flying Under Supervision training (LIFUS), initial operating experience (IOE) and line checks in accordance with the approved syllabus.
• Conduct line continuation training (LCT) and other training flights such as recency training and command mentoring flights in accordance with the approved syllabus.
• Complete and submit accurate detailed training reports and assessments of pilots under instruction in accordance with company guidance and policy through the existing electronic reporting system.
• Recommend additional or remedial training for trainee pilots who are not progressing at an acceptable rate as per set performance standards.
• Provide recommendations to training management for any changes that may improve efficiency, safety and/or quality of training, and standardize procedures and teaching techniques.
• Support with ad hoc office duties, projects, course development and other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid type rating and ATPL issued by the UAE GCAA.

Experience :

• A commander on the applicable aeroplane type.
• One EBT module as a Captain on type to a competent standard as per OM-D.
• Have completed six months of line flying as Captain. The six-month requirement can be waived upon approval by the SVP-FT/VPFT for applicants with prior training experience.

Knowledge/skills:

• Previous instructional/examiner experience preferred.
•  Advanced communication and leadership skills.
