The successful candidate will manage Financial Compliance teams to deliver reviews and validations for EK outstations & dnata entities. Provide management with guidance and independent appraisal of the effectiveness of risk management, the control environment and governance across outstations and entities.

In this role, you will: 

• Collaborate with management across Emirates Group Finance in defining the review strategy and implementing the plan including the frequency of such reviews and validations.
• Plan, manage and deliver reviews and validations with a view to providing management with an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the control environment, the risk management and governance across outstations and entities. Proactively advise and assist management in the mitigation of risks, as well as in achieving protection and efficient utilisation of corporate resources.
• Work closely with colleagues in periodically reviewing policy and procedures documents as well as the Control Self-Assessment program, and propose suggestions and improvements to ensure the frameworks are aligned to the business? objectives.
• Identify areas for process/system improvements and opportunities to better utilise existing Group Data; undertake projects to standardise and improve our procedures and act as an interface between Finance and other departments across the Group. Manage projects through all stages to ensure that their progress, quality and the outputs in key areas are consistent with the scope and targets envisaged.
• Review the outstations and entities progress against agreed recommendations to ensure these are addressed timely. Where relevant, provide guidance and support to outstations and entities in addressing the recommendations.
• Take responsibility for achieving FSC & eP key performance indicators through leading effective delivery of reviews
• Manage the development, productivity and performance of the Finance Compliance Team to achieve the overall FSC & eP objectives. Identify developmental requirements, coaching team members when necessary to ensure they are equipped to fulfil deliverables and plan for succession.

To be considered for this role, you must have: 

• Degree in recognised professional accounting qualification to the standard of Chartered Accountant, CPA or similar preferred.
• Audit experience with a reputable firm and a minimum of 2 years industry related experience required.

You'll have an edge if you have: 

• Proven experience in working in a large multinational and dealing with stakeholders from different countries and cultures.
• Ability to function independently within an established framework and to be practical and innovative.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organisation.
• Aviation experience and familiarity with IATA regulations is advantageous.
• Requirement to travel to carry out the reviews and validations (20%).
