Responsible for the day-to-day management of training programmes and trainers, in accordance with operational pilot training requirements. Ensure Emirates Flight Training policies and procedures adhere to the regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Deputy Training Manager will continue to perform instructor duties to maintain currency, in line with company requirements.


Job Outline:

  • Create and deliver regulatory compliant EBT/Training programmes which provide high quality, fair, relevant and realistic training and assessment.
  • Maintain the highest level of training to the pilot community. Build on existing training data retrieval and assessment to feed the ongoing development of the EBT/Training programmes.
  • Effectively monitor and manage pilot and instructor performance progressing through training programmes and support individuals who fail to achieve a satisfactory performance.
  • Manage the instructor and examiner workforce effectively by offering support, learning opportunities and development when required.
  • Proactively collaborate with your direct or wider team members to seek input and ensure transparency, coordination and involvement as required.
  • Maintain and enhance strong relationship with the aircraft manufacturer in coordination with training management.
  • Liaise with regulators (GCAA, EASA etc) and other external stakeholders as required.
  • Conduct instructor/examiner duties, including FSTD training, checking and classroom activities as applicable.
  • Support with ad hoc projects, change management and risks assessments.


Qualification

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold or have held an ATPL issued by an ICAO member state.
  • Valid Instructor/Examiner rating for applicable type.
  • Minimum 12 months as an active Instructor/Examiner or Line Training Captain with 6 months in an EK training position.

Knowledge/skills:

  • Previous instructional/examiner experience preferred.
  • Advanced communication and leadership skills.
