The successful candidate will provide leadership across the Group's financial reporting, general ledger, and IFRS technical functions, ensuring robust compliance and insightful analysis to support executive decision-making. Oversee lease accounting and capital asset management in line with IFRS standards, while driving operational excellence across international airport entities. Lead specialised accounting areas including Skywards, Engineering, and Bank Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, control, and alignment with Group-wide financial objectives.


In this role you will:

  • Prepare and deliver Emirates Group financial statements in line with IFRS and ICD reporting cycles across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the development of the Group's Annual Report, ensuring timely, accurate, and brand-aligned publication for external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical accounting oversight for specialized areas, ensuring correct IFRS application and supporting operational teams.
  • Manage Group-wide bank reconciliations, implementing controls to ensure accuracy and timely financial closings.
  • Evaluate IFRS changes and advise senior management on financial impacts across subsidiaries, ventures, and new investments.
  • Lead accounting for new investments, including valuation of intangibles and compliance with IFRS purchase price allocation.
  • Plan and coordinate Group and ICD audits, ensuring efficient execution and timely sign-off from external auditors.
  • Oversee accounting and reporting of capital assets and leases, supporting investment decisions and financial control.
  • Provide financial governance to international operations, ensuring compliance with Group policies and enhancing reporting frameworks.
  • Manage core ledger systems, update the Group Accounting Manual, and oversee tax and ticket tax reporting to ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.


Qualification

In order to be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements: 

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA qualification (from a reputed institute), preferred.
  • Relevant experience in the finance department of an airline or a large corporation.


You'll have an edge if you have: 

  • Expert knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Ability to plan and organise numerous projects and tasks in parallel and deliver within agreed time scales.
  • In depth knowledge of financial systems & strong systems exposure.
  • Strong accounting and technical skills.
  • Ability to provide continuous process improvements.
