Description & Requirements
The Compliance Monitoring section ensures Emirates Engineering meets all technical standards through a rigorous Audit Program. We provide independent assessments of airworthiness management, training, manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
CM-E proactively establishes and implements audit programs to monitor all technical aspects, identifying potential issues and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Our focus is on maintaining effective documentation and implementation of quality management systems to uphold corporate commitments to regulations, safety policies, and quality standards.
As a Business Improvement Controller, you will proactively identify areas for improvement and potential gaps within the existing engineering and compliance monitoring procedures and manuals, aiming to enhance safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance. Analyse current processes, recommending business process enhancements across engineering and compliance functions, and facilitating their effective implementation with business units to drive continuous performance improvement and uphold high compliance levels.
In this role, you will:
- Recommend and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, aligning with established engineering procedures and manuals.
- Serve as a change agent by promoting the sharing and adoption of best practices across Engineering and Compliance Monitoring functions. Conduct regular reviews to ensure the effective implementation of recommended changes and monitor progress.
- Develop and oversee the business improvement program by planning, coordinating, and monitoring initiatives; facilitate training workshops to equip stakeholders with business process improvement techniques.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of core business processes across various functional areas to identify opportunities for enhancement. Apply insights from high-compliance areas to optimise processes in other sections of the business.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation through research, benchmarking industry best practices, and integrating relevant learnings.
- Provide guidance and support to teams within business units to successfully execute business improvement initiatives. Stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in business process improvement methodologies and industry best practices within the ground handling sector, including insights from industry leaders.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Experience of 5+ years working in an Industrial or Commercial role.
- Experience in working with processes in aviation industry, health, safety or similar domain that is subject to strict control measures.
Knowledge and skills
- Working knowledge of business improvement principles and tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the development and review of innovative solutions to operational problems.
- Must possess an inquiring and creative mind for critical analysis.
- Must have good communications skills (oral, written and visual representations) for effective conveyance of recommendations and ideas.
- Must be resourceful and possess interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed written skills in relation to report, policy, process and procedure documentation.
- Working knowledge of PC based applications such as MS-word, MS-excel, and MS PowerPoint, including experience with business process mapping software.
