As a Maintenance Supervisor for GSE, you will plan, schedule, direct and supervise the day to day operations and staff to complete repairs, corrective and scheduled maintenance of equipment to meet operational needs in line with the agreed service and safety standards. Responsible for monitoring and controlling of maintenance jobs through detailed inspections of the work carried out, ensuring cost effectiveness and quality of maintenance.


In this role, you will:

  • Plan daily maintenance activities ensuring all scheduled jobs are covered and sufficient manpower and materials are available for both planned and unplanned work.
  • Allocate resources effectively (manpower and materials) to maximize technician productivity and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure safety and equipment compliance by maintaining operability standards and enforcing all safety procedures during technical activities.
  • Support and guide technicians in troubleshooting, repair methods, and parts selection to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance.
  • Lead communication and team alignment through briefings, toolbox talks, shift handovers, and continuous engagement with teams and management.
  • Provide training and development for technicians, including onboarding support, skill-building, and promoting safe work practices, lean, and 5S principles.
  • Monitor quality and performance by conducting inspections, maintaining detailed maintenance logs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance and continuous improvement by enforcing safety standards, conducting incident investigations, managing spare parts planning, and driving maintenance enhancements.


Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Hold a Diploma in either Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or Automobile Engineering from a reputed Institution
  • Have 4-6 years experience in Engineering, maintenance or workshop team management role.


Knowledge/Skills

  • English proficiency (Level 5)
  • Proficient IT and computer skills
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Strong safety awareness
  • UAE driving licence
  • Equipment operation licence (where applicable)
  • Supervisory experience is an advantage
